Call for Papers - 4th Industrial Revolution: Implications for Asia
 관리자    | 2021·05·02 17:07 | HIT : 575
The journal Asia and the Global Economy is a new journal sponsored by the Asia Economic Community Forum (AECF) and published by Elsevier (www.journals.elsevier.com/asia-and-the-global-economy/). The journal will publish rigorous research that has clear policy implications for the Asian economies, or for their mutual cooperation or for the role of Asian economies in the global economic system. To this end we are soliciting papers for a special issue devoted to 4th Industrial Revolution: Implications for Asia. For papers accepted and published in 2021, the open access fee will be waived, allowing authors to have the widest possible exposure for their contributions.

The 4th industrial revolution is bringing major changes to national economies as well as to their role in the global economy. The expanded use of artificial intelligence and the rise of “superstar” companies will change the role of labor in the production process, and these changes will be reflected in changes in income distribution as well as in the basis for counties’ competitiveness in the global economy. We are seeking papers that examine how these developments will affect Asian economies in the spheres of education and manpower requirements, in terms of social processes, in changes in comparative advantage and for Asian economic cooperation. Papers should have clear policy implications for Asian economies and for the architecture of the global trade and investment regimes. Interested contributors should contact Professor Josef Brada, Co-editor of Asia and the Global Economy (josef.brada@asu.edu). Deadline for submissions is August 31, 2021
